Dentures
There are two types of dentures- partial and complete.
Partial dentures are removable appliances used to replace multiple missing teeth and are held in place via metal or acrylic clasps or other attachments to neighboring teeth.
Complete dentures are indicated when patients have no remaining teeth. They are created through a series of dental appointments and are custom made for each individual patient. The process begins with taking impressions of the mouth. The patient and the dentist work together to select the ideal shade, shape and size of the artificial teeth.
When worn, complete dentures cover the entire jaw and rest directly on the gum or can be retained by implants.
